GTU offers a wide range of programs in Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Computer Applications, Applied Sciences, and Architecture, adhering to the guidelines of regulatory bodies such as UGC, AICTE, PCI, and COA. The Academic Council, Faculty, and the Board of Studies play a pivotal role in formulating and regulating the academic framework of these programs. To enhance the quality of higher education and integrate the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Academic Section regularly convenes meetings of the Academic Council, discipline-specific Faculties, and the Board of Studies throughout the year.
Activities of the section include formation and continuous revision of syllabus, admissions to various programs, institute and university transfers, enrollment generation, syllabus endorsement, convocation coordination, Academic Calendar declaration, and formation of new policies etc.
The Academic Section ensures the smooth implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), Minor/Hons. Programs, and the Multiple Entry and Multiple Exit (MEME) policy. Further, GTU promotes technology-enabled flexible learning through MOOCs. It also oversees many initiatives such as orientation and induction programs, the prestigious Tech-Guru Awards, External students program with IIT-Gandhinagar, and Joint Diploma Program with Toyota Tsusho.
