About Sports, Cultural, NSS, NCC & Social welfare
Gujarat Technological University has been constituted since university has been established. The
department is independently running with all the administrative facilities for Youth Activities and
Cultural activities related things. University is exploring sports, cultural, NSS & NCC activities apart
from their educational activity. Also participating in the Association of Indian Universities for various
sports game, Cultural program and Social activity through the NSS program. A Gymnasium was
established in GTU as part of the Fit India movement. NSS is having 11000 units strength with the
GTU affiliated collages. Students taking participation at GTU Zone level / Inter Zone / AIU cultural
celebration. NCC cadets (Students) taking participation in various training programme & parade.
Mission
• Spread awareness of sports, games to the society, developing the health and talent of the students
and faculty fraternity.
• Identify and explore societal sporting talent from across the Gujarat and give them the opportunity
to shine in the global sports for all.
Vision
• Special emphasis on all traditional games of Gujarat/ India for healthy, physical mental fitness and
happier life.
• Encourage all college students / faculty and society and other private ventures, AIU, sports
associations to give support for identifying the talent and developing the strong structure of the
sports.
• Sports fitness programs / training / conferences / workshop / faculty development program to be
made universal with a special highlighting and to get associated with the other Gujarat state
universities.
