Another message dated 1st January 2011 The University has declared the dates for the start of classes of the new semester. Let us begin our classes in right earnest from the very first lecture on the first day and let us continue right up to the last lecture of the last day of the semester. If we, the students and the teachers use every single class,   laboratory and workshop effectively, every one of the students will be able to learn well. To:  All the students and professors of GTU
Welcome to the new academic year.      Let us begin our classes with a pledge that we shall all work together to see that every single class is utilized fully for the learning process and that not a single class is dropped.
The world is becoming a common marketplace, where you will have to compete with the young men from USA to China and from Brazil and South Africa to Australia. So we shall have to jointly work to see that your learning processes are continuously updated and made more efficient. While at GTU, we shall try to see that every single policy, followed or newly devised by GTU, helps you learn better, you will also have to make the following pledges:
To attend every class during this year and not to miss a single class To  work hard continuously during the semester so that you do not get any  additional ATKT during this year To clear every single ATKT from the previous academic year, if you have any.
Let us work together to make this Swarnim year of Gujarat a great academic year at GTU.
