To: All the students of GTU

Welcome to the new GTU Campus Connect web-site. It has been designed by students, it is being run by students and its objective is to be of help to the students. I requested some students to develop Campus Connect, since I found that many of the students have common concerns and a Forum to discuss such concerns can prove to be useful.

Students can use this web-site to ask any questions about examination rules, UFM rules, detention criteria and credit system. They can also discuss issues relating to improvement in teaching and learning processes at GTU. All such questions and issues will be answered by students, who are managing the web-site. However all responses about examination rules, UFM rules, detention criteria and credit system will be put on the web-site after these have been shown to the Controller of Examinations.

During the last two months, I have invited groups of students, teachers, Principals/ Directors  and Trustees of SFIs to meet me and we have deliberated on what can be done to improve the learning outcomes at GTU. We have worked on making the necessary changes to our methods of learning and examinations. These changes have all been clearly announced on the GTU web-site. An FAQ has also been designed and put on the web-site. I think that a better understanding of the Rules and Regulations and discussions about improving our Teaching and Learning processes through GTU Campus Connect should help every one at GTU.

Let us work together to make this Swarnim year of Gujarat a great academic year at GTU.
